- Stabilizer tip
rib riveted on wrong side of main spar. This made a 4 mm cap between
nose tip and stabilizer skin. It also increased elevator length 4,5
mm. Cap filled with LPS strong aluminium filler. At center of elevator
skin is contact with tip ribs.
- Measured and cutted
TWO times wrongly elevator skin. Costs were about 200 € !
- A 3 mm
cap found again between elevator tip rib and skin after. Filled again
with LPS alumium filler. I asked help from ZAC and Nick answered:
"Filling
the gap with a filler is acceptable.
For
the install of the elevator to the stablizer, please refer to the
bottom left diagram on drawing 7-H-3. Please check that you have
110mm from the hinge line to the leading edge of the elevator. On the
same drawing, note that it shows 117mm from the hinge line to the
back
side of the stabilizer spar.
